Biographies
David Gyasi is best known for his roles in movies such as Interstellar (Directed by Christopher Nolan), Cloud Atlas (Directed by The Wachowskis) and Annihilation (Directed by Alex Garland) to name a few.
David has been acting since 2002. His work includes a wealth of experience in a range of theatre, film and TV productions.
Over the last 20+ years, David has worked with many actors, directors, writers and production companies building great friendships and working relationships along the way. Admired and respected by many, David is a clear influencer and mentor in his field and he has inspired many other young aspiring actors and creators.
TV credits and collaborations include lead roles for the BBC (TROY – Fall Of A City), Amazon Prime (Carnival Row) and more recently playing Austin Dennison in Netflix’s hit show The Diplomat.
Though David is extremely passionate about his acting this doesn’t paint the whole picture. The wider picture is about telling stories with acting being just one part of this. David is driven to enhance under represented people and communities in our world and also to challenge thinking and encourage discussion around our various human experiences.
David, with Emma has purposefully set up Wednesday Morning Productions to explore, develop and create new ideas for film and TV. Working with the many existing colleagues and collaborators David is also intentional about elevating and working with new talent in all areas behind the camera.

Emma Gyasi is really on her 4th/5th career – truth be told!
Having studied performing Arts and Dance A-Level in her teens, Emma went on to complete a Dance degree at Roehampton University having only given birth to David & Emma’s first child a year before.
Shortly after graduation Emma took up various lecturing posts in Dance, Performing Arts & Movement, working at West Thames College, East Berkshire college & Rose Bruford Drama School. This side of life lasted 13 years.
During this time Emma has supported David in his career whole heartedly, not only as a wife but as a confidant & business partner. The pair always making decisions together, from life changing career moves to which country to live in!
The Journey has been one of incredible highs & lows but Emma has always gained huge learning experiences! Whilst doing this Emma, along with David has brought up two wonderful children and helped nurture one to have a burgeoning career in the arts, and a 2nd that may well follow suit behind the camera.
In addition to this… Emma has been helping, steering and directing people on a journey to mental, physical & spiritual well being through various fitness classes (did I mention that she’s also a fitness instructor!!!) along with her newly released & hugely popular podcast ‘Mind, Body, Soul & Stage’.
Emma’s podcast features honest, heart to heart interviews with some of the country’s leading professionals. Suffice to say, this journey makes Emma the perfect Producer at Wednesday Morning Productions. As well as her natural nurturing and supporting skills which are a huge asset in developing, Emma has a real talent for not only creating fascinating ideas but also spotting and conceptualising these in others.
